Signal V
I keep mentioning an article that I’m working on considering the Missing 411 “phenomenon”. I assure you this is still coming, it’s just not quite where I want it to be at this point in time. Since it’s been around six months since the last one, I figure it’s time I update you guys on goings on here at GHPR (and some paranormal news from the area).
I’ve had a lot of contact recently with people concerning strange encounters and sightings in the area. Around a year ago there was a string of sightings of a bigfoot like creature in and around Morgan County. According to local eyewitnesses, those do seem to be continuing (although they are becoming fewer and far between).
A fairly large UFO was sighted by three separate people on three separate occasions (myself among them), late at night a few months ago. The sightings occurred around the east side of Bob Wallace Avenue, all describing the same craft: cross shaped, completely blacked out (aside from a series of lights on its underbelly), and hovering silently over the houses. Given that this occurred in close proximity to the Redstone Arsenal, it’s always possible it’s some kind of military craft but, well, for those who saw it it was at least, at the time, unidentifiable.
On top of that, GHPR is involved in the early stages of a new investigation. I think this might be our first “house call” of the year! The experiencer, for the time being at least, wishes to remain anonymous so I'm going to refrain from sharing, well, anything about what's going on for quite a while. Just know that it's an exciting case, it fits very snugly into our wheelhouse, and it's gonna have the main focus of my attention for a little while. We pushed back a filming day for this, it's that big of a deal.
We’ve recently launched a kickstarter here at GHPR! This is to fund the creation of a pop-up command center of sorts to make filming (and investigations) a little smoother. As of the writing of this blog post, there are two weeks left in the campaign and only $70 remain to be funded. It looks like we’re gonna pull it off! To anyone reading this who’s already pledged, thank you! It means the world to me that, even though we’re not asking for that much, you believe in us enough to help support the last outings of Signal & Noise!
I mentioned a few weeks ago that we were out in the middle of April trying to make contact with something. We keep getting the feeling, through our Estes Sessions, that we’re getting ahold of the same thing over and over again. On completely unrelated investigations, the same names and topics are brought up repeatedly. It’s to the point where it’s obvious that there’s something out there that needs to be addressed. Assuming we’re actually making contact with something, we’re left with one of two possibilities (and this is based on the fact that it, for whatever reason, has issues maintaining communication with us if we’re in the lower level of a building or in a valley): either somebody is broadcasting across a broad set of radio bands specifically to confuse us, or this isn’t a spiritual entity that we’re speaking with. That’ll make more sense when you watch the show — I’m sorry, but I don’t want to go too much more into detail on that. Either way, we were trying different methods to improve our ability to reach out to whatever this is (and we were doing so from an incredibly remote location hoping it would prove that it isn’t someone who knows where we are and is trying to interfere) but it all fell apart on the day of. We made it out there, we set up, and we just lost the thread and didn’t succeed in even starting our attempt to communicate. We’re going to try again soon but the exact details of that are still up in the air.
We’re in serious crunch time right now for Signal & Noise. The last episode is set to be filmed in July. After that, post-production starts in earnest and we’ll be well on track to release the series by sometime this winter!
